Name: Jesse Symonds
Title: Solar PV Engineer
Job(s): Engineering, Researcher of Things, Electrical Installations
Bio: I’ve always loved math and science and knew I wanted to leave a mark on the world; I saw the Renewable Energy B.T. at Morrisville State College and I knew that was my path to leave a positive impression. Downstream gave me a chance as an intern and now I’m here full time, solaring every day to help preserve our planet!
- Who has been a big inspiration in your life and why?
My dad; even after a life changing accident (getting hit by a drunk driver and breaking several vertebrae) he has never stopped supporting our family and providing us with opportunities.
- What’s your favorite hobby?
ADV riding with my KLR 650 or just cruising on my Harley.
- Who would you love to meet in person?
Tony Stark (I know he’s just a character) or Elon Musk. Both are geniuses and inventors and I’ve always dreamt of inventing the next big revolution towards solving the energy crisis.
- Something that baffles you?
Why do whiffle balls have holes? Baseballs don’t have holes and they work fine. And those tiny bats…
- If you could be a superhero who would you pick?
Gold-nose; he can smell trouble from a mile away. On second thought I work with several vegetarians so let’s just go with Iron Man.
